In year 2000, Apple bring to us the most beautiful CRT display ever - the 17" Studio CRT (ADC) Display, which features a 17" (16" viewable area) Natural Diamondtron CRT housed in a clear enclosure. This monitor has a proprietary ADC connector which is compatible with Power Mac G4 only.
In order to extend the lifespan of this legendary monitor, we have replaced the original Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) with a LCD mounted with a replicated CRT funnel, the original deflection yoke, the video card, and the analogue board are all in place so that the original outlook is preserved.
The modified Studio Display has a 16" viewable LCD screen with 1280 x 960 pixels, a VGA connection port, and 2 working USB 2.0.
This mod has been discontinued as the Studio CRT (ADC) Display has already become a collector item.
The mod features a 1280 x 1024 LCD. This resolution is perfect for the size of the LCD.
The CRT mechanism is as eye-catching as the contents the screen is displaying, so we keep all the stuffs in the mod.
Beautiful, but also original and convenient to use with. The USB 2.0 ports at the side panel make it easy to attach keyboard or mouse.
