It is the first modified laptop we have ever made. In the very beginning after we uploaded a demo video onto YouTube, some people perceived that was just a screen cast to the iBook ... but certainly it is not!
The iBook Clamshell i7 has a 2.2GHz Intel i7 CPU, 8GB Ram and a 2TB SSD, with working original keyboard and trackpad. However, the DVD rom is discarded from this mod.
We have offered options for this mod, namely, to opt or not the FaceTime Camera and a glowing apple on the laptop cover.
The iBook i7 has become a history. We are now moving forward to a M1 iBook Clamshell.
An upgrade to the 800 x 600 pixels LCD display, iBook Clamshell i7 features a 1400 x 1050 pixels SXGA TFT screen display.
It is an option to have FaceTime HD Camera to be equipped on the iBook or not.
Our prototype has the SD card slot installed on the DVD-Rom Bezel.
